The Remcon GuardSafe® 42 (GS42) Water-Filled Barrier is a heavy-duty Longitudinal Channelizing Device (LCD) designed for superior traffic and pedestrian control in demanding work zone environments. Manufactured from rotationally molded polyethylene, this barrier delivers exceptional durability while resisting cracks, dents, and weather-related wear.

Unlike traditional concrete K-rails, the GuardSafe GS42 is engineered to absorb impact energy, improving safety for both motorists and work crews during accidental contact. Its water-filled design provides outstanding stability when deployed while allowing for efficient transport and storage when empty.

The system features a molded-in tongue and groove connection, enabling quick, tool-minimal installation and secure linking between units. Connected barriers can also pivot, allowing flexible configurations that form straight lines or curved channelization up to 15 degrees.

For ease of handling, each unit includes recessed molded-in handles and forklift access points. High-visibility color options (Hi-Viz Safety Orange or White) improve roadway awareness, while integrated pockets accommodate standard blinking barricade lights for enhanced nighttime safety.

With a capacity of up to 182.9 gallons of water and a rugged 42-inch jersey-style profile, the Remcon GuardSafe GS42 is ideal for road construction, lane separation, pedestrian protection, and temporary traffic control applications where strength, visibility, and adaptability are critical.
