Full Occlusion in Seconds, With One Hand
When an arterial bleed happens, the window to prevent shock or death is short — and it often has to be closed by the injured person themselves, with one working hand. The RapidStop® Tourniquet was engineered around that reality. It combines Quick-Clasp™ technology with an 8:1 mechanical ratchet to achieve full limb occlusion in as little as one turn, requiring only gross motor control rather than fine dexterity.
Three Simple Steps
RapidStop’s self-application process is pull, lift, secure — and the instructions travel with the device. Stitch-sealed, waterproof vinyl tags on the tourniquet itself walk a user through the procedure in the moment, backed by pocket-sized instruction cards and video guidance, so even an untrained bystander can apply it correctly under pressure.
Quick-Clasp™ Buckle Built for Real Conditions
The Quick-Clasp buckle slides instantly around a trapped limb with no fiddly routing required — and it’s designed to work with gloves on or hands numbed from cold, two conditions that defeat a lot of standard tourniquet designs exactly when they matter most.
Mil-Spec Strength
The 1.5″ strap meets Mil-W-17337 specification with a break strength exceeding 8,000N, and the tourniquet carries a minimum tensile strength of 600N — a 3x safety factor over what’s required for reliable occlusion. It fits limb circumferences from 7″ to 33″, covering everything from a slim forearm to a large thigh.
Built to Perform in Extreme Conditions
The impact-resistant body operates across a temperature range of -58°F to +122°F, and the design resists corrosion — engineered for job sites, outdoor environments, and climates that would compromise a lesser tourniquet.
High-Visibility Red for Responder Identification
The red strap gives this variant a distinct, high-visibility identity — useful for organizations that use color-coding to distinguish responder-carried units from general-issue or training stock, or simply want a tourniquet that stands out clearly in a kit or on a belt.
Regulatory Compliance
FDA registered, CE-marked, and tested to EN, ANSI, and MCEPS standards, with US Patent 10,568,636 covering its core design.
